Felipe Brito provides training in an inspiring, engaging, and instructive setting. His experience ranges from elementary school to college students, bands to individuals, master classes to one-on-one instruction.

His ability to adapt and connect with each student is unparalleled, giving each student the opportunity to excel in their musical journey. His experiences include stints with Projeto Guri and ASSATEMEC, both free music education programs for Brazilian children living in poverty.

Felipe Brito has taught in public and private schools, nonprofits, summer festivals, and college, such as Anglo Itu, Open Tone Music, Austin Soundwaves, Youth Orchestra Salinas - YOSAL, Roberto Ocasio Latin Jazz Summer Camp, IDEA Montopolis College Prep, Temple College and Texas A&M University - Central Texas.

• Create a new partnership with 4 The Boys and Girls Clubs sites and 2 public schools at Open Tone Music (2015-2018)

Organized masterclasses with more than 40 nationally and internationally renowned guest musicians at Anglo Itu School (Brazil), Amistad Caribbean Arts Camp (Cleveland, OH), and IDEA Montopolis (Austin, TX); (2008-2022)

Curriculum

Created a new trombone curriculum at Temple College and Texas A&M Central Texas including technical studies, technical etudes, melodic etudes, solo repertoire, orchestral excerpts, jazz improvisation, and commercial music.

Created a music curriculum for 100+ elementary, middle, and high school students annually at Anglo Itu in Brazil

• Added 15 new performances to the annual calendar at Anglo Itu School (Brazil; 2010-2012) and 10 new performances at Open Tone Music nonprofit program (Cleveland, OH; 2015-2018)

• Created curriculum for 100 students, tailoring class materials to students' age and abilities at ASSATEMEC in Brazil (2008-2010)

Felipe Brito currently shares this gift with the community as the Assistant Professor of Trombone and Director of Jazz Studies at Southeast Missouri State University.

He is also the Lead Instructor and Development Director at the Cleveland summer arts program, Amistad Caribbean Arts Camp.

Dr. Felipe Brito has taught masterclasses at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Ohio State University, Ohio University, The University of Texas at Austin, Oberlin Conservatory, Kent State University, and Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
