Currently working towards a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Trombone Performance and Arts Administration at The University of Texas at Austin Felipe is a Brazilian trombonist, educator, and arts administrator. He currently works with the music nonprofits Austin Soundwaves in Texas, Amistad Caribbean Arts Camp in Cleveland, Youth Orchestra Salinas in California, and as an Academic Assistant at UT Butler School of Music Communications Department. A testament to his passion, skill, and versatility, Felipe has collaborated with a number of national and international artists and bands including Branford Marsalis, Robin Eubanks, Raul de Souza, Joe Lovano, Jorge Santana, Bobby Sanabria, Cleveland Opera Theater, and Canton Symphony Orchestra. In Austin, he plays with Memphis Train Revue, Gabriel Santiago, and had a residency at Yuyo Peruvian Restaurant before COVID-19.
